One Like You

In my dreams there was always one like you
And in my heart a place reserved for one so true
Now I know these spaces have been fulfilled into
The one I've been waiting for

To be alone was never meant to be
God wished us to be couples I know, you agree
And here we are fulfilling that wish
You and me what a fine potpourri

Yet the same in many ways we've found
Past and present, many things have us bound
How lucky and fortunate, how mysteriously true
Yes there is a God, He'll see us through

Can anything be much better in knowing that
When special someones have arrived together
And no longer their worlds appear flat
But fully rounded with arms encircled forever

To caress and comfort, cradle and care
Not like magic, more like a prayer
In reality to see and touch and feel
And knowing that its happening now and its real
