I can't be without you for long
Seems ages have passed
but its only a week

Being without you
and for how long I don't know
Is that something I'll have to get used to?

I know that my need for you
is more than you're used to
What can I say, I wish I knew

In affairs of my heart
I was always very cautious and shy
Yet when you came along it all drastically changed

And thus my love has expanded
Comparable to the highest of mountains and deepest of seas
Can this be imagined, please don't feel strange

I know may not be of the highest priority
There are others who mean much more to you

I understand this and must accept it
And patiently await for the time that will come
When its just you and me once again

You said life is cruel
We both feel the constrictions
Seeping often into our days creating a little pain

Yet the love of each other
Connects us so deeply and profoundly
It will eventually be the one to gain

If love is for each other
It has to between two persons
Never one way or the other to obtain

But for giving and sharing
Is how to continue
